Western Immortal Organic Lapsang Souchong – Pine-Smoked Black Tea
Pine smoke is the first thing you notice: a deep, woodsy aroma over a full-bodied black tea. The cup is striking but balanced, with the unmistakable scent of a mountain campfire.
A Ming dynasty legend says Lapsang Souchong’s smoky style began when tea growers, pressed for time, dried their leaves over pinewood fires. Whether or not the story happened exactly that way, smoking the tea became its signature. Western Immortal’s blend starts with organic High Mountain Zhengshan black tea, roasted and dried over Masson pine.
From Fujian, China, this is a classic smoked black tea for slow sipping—and a natural companion to savory food.
