Xiao Shi Jie

Xiao Shi Jie (小师姐) is a Chinese specialty tea brand founded by a tea science graduate of Zhejiang University. The founder also serves as a co-founder of Chinese Tea Alliance, an organization dedicated to introducing traditional Chinese teas, regional producers, and tea culture to North American audiences.

The brand's approach combines academic knowledge of tea cultivation and processing with an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship. Its selection includes teas from established growing regions across China, with particular attention to regional varieties, production techniques, and aging.

The collection spans traditional oolongs such as Tie Guan Yin and Zhangping Shui Xian, Yunnan black teas, aged pu'er, and distinctive dark teas including Liu Bao and Anhua Fu Brick. These teas demonstrate the considerable influence of processing, fermentation, roasting, and storage on the finished leaf.

Xiao Shi Jie also offers traditional Chinese teaware, including handcrafted porcelain gaiwans and tasting cups developed in collaboration with ceramic artisans. Together, the teas and teaware reflect an approach grounded in both the study and practice of Chinese tea traditions.
