Dalmatia

Inspired by the coastal region of Dalmatia, Croatia, Dalmatia Spreads specializes in traditional Mediterranean fruit preserves, particularly those made from figs, cherries, citrus, and other fruits cultivated throughout the Adriatic region.

Established in the late 1990s, the company introduced Croatian fig spreads to the American specialty food market, drawing on the region's longstanding traditions of fruit cultivation and preservation. Its signature fig spread remains the foundation of the collection, combining carefully selected fruit with a smooth, rich texture and concentrated sweetness.

Dalmatia sources fruit from Croatia and neighboring Mediterranean regions, with particular attention to ripeness and quality. Figs are individually inspected before processing, and the spreads are prepared in Croatia.

The finished preserves are well suited to cheese boards, toasted bread, pastries, and savory preparations. Their combination of fruit and acidity makes them particularly good companions for aged cheeses, cured meats, and roasted vegetables.
